abducted by boxes

thought i could unpack and keep on with my life in two weeks.

that of course could only happen in a fantasy world.

right now the place is full of Ikea people setting up furniture so that we can finish unpacking the house related stuff and make space.

 we'll travel back to the blue box in two weeks for my studio furniture.the studio is still full of unpacked boxes waiting for shelves and tables.

But what a view we have! watching the trees slowly turning.

velma my jealous days are going to be over, me too surrounded by nature ^_^

my aizome  summer story since 09. no dyeing this summer. hopefully it will be renewed next summer at a different enclave.
posting will  be reasumed in october  also at a different enclave same time zone ;-)

a move is always stressful, no matter how much is taken care of by movers and moving in august september is..how can i phrase it not to sound crude?

of thrums

what i learned: no use in being frugal and saving them. unless you have a weaver neighbor willing to come and pick them up as soon as you cut the warp.

i just dealt with 20 years worth of thrums which are going to end where they could have ended years ago.

live and learn.

knitting away. shawl for a bride to be. meanwhile recycling and trashing goes on.

not fun with this heat.i'm sure i'll get plenty brownie points for that.

milenial envy

ancient work, from 83-84 when i still wove tapestry.this was a series i exhibited when i was working with triangles woven with raffia.i had started incorporating paint to the surface.

was also creating resist patterns with whatever i found; masking tape, lentils, whatever.












believe me when i say this one is a triangle too.

the one on the left creased to a triangle first  volumetric piece of mine. on the right a closet look.i was also doing textures!!
interesting that at that time i sort of planted the seeds of what would come next albeit in a smaller scale. 

and why would you ask milenial envy?

because they don't keep stuff. there's instagram for photos,kindle for books,spotify for music,dropbox for docs so moving is easy peasy.
