silk dyed with madder. the foreground yarn was overdyed with pomegranate and left in the dye for a week. excuse the ties.
the next experiment is going to be with persimmon. getting the colors ready for a colorful warp.
this has been going round and round in my head for some days now:
the man who puts his arm around your shoulders when the winds blow cold.
neki desu
Forgive me, but what kind of fiber is this?
ReplyDeletei know that man!
ReplyDeleteand the color is good and strong.
Neki, I always like to use purple madder to mix colours when I was painting...I loved it and got some weird and wonderful results.
ReplyDeleteYour dyes are wonderful
What's your process with persimmons? Do you use the hachiya or the fuyu type? I love fuyu, eat them like apples, so I'm not sure I'd be likely to sacrifice any of them to the dyepot!
