another lettuce year

lettuce looks like cawliflowers  beans are growing.had to spray them with the castille soap/ oil concoction and cover the leaves with crushed eggshells to keep slugs away. really been making me miseable this year. one kuke plant doing well the othar two are stalled, no growth.

pear toms are also taking their time.lots of rains too litle sun and low temps. this summer's big project: that wall .

the bug deterrents came out so tiny i don't think they'll be able to do their job. we shall see.
