Swimming away and flapping good-bye. Been working on surface design and textures.Too hot to do anything else, the last 50 cms on the loom are waiting for cooler times.So are the indigo vats.i'm going away for a week or two to a cooler climate. Sick of being glued to the air.
Until then hope your summer is cool and productive.Will bring back scads of photos :)

back to work

after a great weekend with friends and food. Some work was done on one of the fabrics.
Here is the second layer stamped with thick print paste.i kind of like it, but still needs some more work.
On another note experimenting with transparent photo backgrounds as i'm pondering the move to layouts.Unless i keep the same color background the old photos are going to look godawful.guess it will go to the back burner until i come back from the holidays.

And yes, the maillot jaune is in Spain :)

hip hip for decon printing!

This is my kind of screen printing.Absolutely.i enjoy taking so many liberties.The process is open to the serendipituous and because there's no right or wrong, we're free from dogma and printing talibans :)
The fabric will be conbobulated further , perhaps most of the white areas will get a light blue wash and a unifying element.
Just waiting for the sirocco to go away so that i can work in the patio.40º yesterday :(
