fun, but not what your mother would call a good print oi? thickened strong ferrous on myrobalan mordanted cotton. the stencilling came out blurry in some parts mostly due to not having spray adhesive to fix it to the cloth.also the ferrous needed more guar gum.the thickened lac wasn't too great either, so let's go for broke.
thickened lac was added between spaces, the center was printed with an indian carved block.
no major work of art, but a useful exercise ,learning the processes.
it is cool to see the ferrous becoming visible on contact with the tannin,much like photo image developing.remeber?
have undestood a couple of things about indian block print textiles.
rushed frantically to wash off the ferrous from the tool when i finished.
