some windfall lichens picked up almost 2 years ago at my sister's right after a storm.
finally got to soak them in ammonia waiting to see what color i get.been soaking for 2 days and it seems i'll get a yellowy beige- with luck. the color is not terribly exciting so far so i'll leave them alone and wait.

Frau Merkel may not care, but if her constituents really understood the problem, instead of leaning on the old saw of "Spaniards never work, they're always bouncing from siesta to fiesta," we might be on the receiving end of a little compassion.
ReplyDeleteBut it's not in her interests, or in the interests of the German media, to tell the truth about what's happening here. So it all just slides off of her like water off a duck's back.
I'm seeing so much about using natural dyes lately! I'd think yellow would be a hard one to get. But I'm speaking from a place of almost pure ignorance.
