testing wool stainless steel yarn in warp, not the whole layer though.it is a lo less stressful to warp with than expected.  white is botany wool 13 turns x cm. woven with botany wool 32turns x cm. now this is a task winding it in bobbins!

this will take long as i moved to the other side of the studio, towards the k-machine.sampling there as well.

we are technically still on holidays, kids anxiously( and noisily) waiting for the magi on epiphany.

as for myself, axious to get back to my daily routines.haven't gone walking for 2 weeks now.

i have the desk top working in a network with the knitting machine laptop.i work the designs on the desktop and i retrieve them with the laptop and knit.  

yesterday when i fired both they couldn't talk to each other. why of course the last update messed something up on the laptop settings, presumably the graphic card. i now have 3 options: create a dropbox account & work from the cloud;create the windows cloud whatever and give them control over my stuff ; go the old pen drive route. guess which one i am taking.

meanwhile here's a pretty picture to chill out.

from this to the above. cochineal with cream of tartar aka tartaric acid + tin. the combination develops the reds, it's very tomato red unlike the photo which has a bluish overcast.
on a very happy note i gathered courage and turned on the k machine.it did turn on!
