the pleasure of crossing out

from lists is indescribable. two big ones out; the arduino item is following its course (pun intended)

need mental space and serenity to tackle the k machine repair. the web page's another big one too. 

a bit of frivolité to keep going on.

skirt finished. nothing that a good pressing  can't solve.

will be worn with my biker boots, but it's easier to slip on the creepers for the shoot.

second treadling,same warp.
didn't want to dye yarns for this, but it really was begging purple.






i intensely disliked the burgundy weft( believe me, it's burgundy in real life) and
it was not going to get better.sigh (╯︵╰,)
to the pots. dyeing and drying.i'm using that vile turquoise mx not the alternative cerulean blue because i want real concord grape.
 tomorrow's another day.

once you start you can't stop

favorite cotton sweater, didn't have the heart to chuck it and has been lying around.tried the castille soap rub on the stains to no avail so it went back to storage.
 reading this  gave me an idea.

the anti fashion.
something  of the like, using scraps left over from the dress.
going full circle, love it!
this is a mock up, a dummy. still have to work on the composition  and the stitching.

anyhow how's that for recycling?

wan pisu, this is fashion because i say so viii

it was going to take me forever to find the adequate knit to make the bottom part.it was not enough fabric for the whole pattern hence the bottom panels in a different knit. having seen what i saw the 50-50 knit i bought was not that bad after all. the option of buying on line was discarded as i needed off black, something difficult to judge on line.

so here we are, crossing one item from the to do list and not entirely displeased.the bottom  panels can be ripped and changed when a better option is found; meanwhile i can wear this number this winter-spring.

the top edges were finished with an overcast stitch instead of making and using bias binding.this is a knit fabric,a gift from a friend, and i didn't want to ruin it as i am left with some scraps after cutting the pattern. 

does it look as if i ran out of fabric? what do you think?

abundance

how to illustrate  abundance of images for this post?

i have so very many of them. i post to instagram and facebook,have a photo blog, store images at ipernity and post here mostly weaving-textile related images.  

since i do not post duplicates, it means that each place has its own share of images.

i  develop them further and  use some of them in projects, but clearly this life won't be enough.

what to do? i can't help looking and seeing things...
