have wanted to work a white mohair fishline combo for some years now.

 post explaining meshes. her blog is a repository of machine knitting knowledge which i keep going back to.

another take. i prefer the top one because it has more entity. it is a slow process as one has to select the groups by hand and it is quite a feat  for a somewhat dislexic person when the sequence needs to be reversed.

slowly but surely one gets there. more to come.

i do get satisfaction, sorry mick.

it is incredibly satisfying to grow your own food, evern if the quantities are irrisory.

 

it also  pumps up your cooking creativity because you use what you have at hand.kukes have given a lot of joy, some have been left to grow big; others have been picked up small and are sleeping a pickled dream . we're going to have home made gherkins in our pastrami sandos.

radishes posess the gift of fertility,they grow soon after being sowed. nothing like  picked radishes for a salad!

 i am going to bid for an allotment for next year.

knitted blanket disappointment

looked gorgeous after opening the batching bundle

summer rinsing fun at the neighboring brook.this year due to the temps it was nost frecquented by folks  and dogs looking for respite. note the water saving strategy  ( ¨¨ ω¨¨ )   

 

drying and unravelling the yarn colors were a disappointment.i have a hunch the temps killed whatever shelf life the procion dyes had. i've had 15-20 year old procion dyes dyeing perfectly   and these were just 5 years old.¯\ ( ツ) /¯ either the heat or that they are not made with the same quality standards of old. just like bacon and most of the things. everything is pointing towards my impending future.
