on the left the acer palmatum kasura, on the right my new acer palmatum orange dream. my aim is to create a small wood . there's also a dogwood of the cornus kousa satomi variety outside the photo waiting to start leafing

after seeing those tiny gardens in japan anything can be grown in pots and i'm not talking bonsai here.

despite the rains  the trailing rosemary is doing well.

there's some sewing to be done. taking advantage of japanese class yasumu and using that gifted time wisely.
also there's going to be rain all week long so very little, if not any, walking happening.
the fabric was one of the purchases from helsinki, but it is from  merchant and mills  from their japanese imports. pattern is also japanese.

proof of concept

as my knitting guru says here's a proof of concept.piecing can be digitally worked and then knitted.
there are a few caveats though.
first and foremost : since mobiles take preeminence they need to be turned off or else concentration is gone. if you go off by one pass you lose it.note the last third as the sequence went off the pattern gets lost.
second: one has to maintain the sequence of 1 to 1.it actually means 2 passes x color if not the sequence also goes off.
