abundance

how to illustrate  abundance of images for this post?
i have so very many of them. i post to instagram and facebook, have a photo blogstore images at ipernity and post here mostly weaving-textile related images.
since i do not post duplicates, it means that each place has its own share of images.
i  develop them further and  use some of them in projects, but clearly this life won't be enough.
what to do? i can't help looking and seeing things...

of useful samples

one of my pet peeves with sampling is the accumulation of pieces not big enough for making something out of them;i am  going to  tip toe on the spent time.
so this one is going to become either a coin purse, an eyeglass case or a cross-body whatnot.
the warp was dyed with cochineal in 2 shades, carrot tops and indigo.the weft is procion teal blue.

love how the pattern emerges and disappears.
and the no pressure weaving attitude.and holding my japanese shuttles in my hand, and...
(looks like the days are getting longer. sunlight is a balm)

just two shades of grey

the light diamond shibori is a very light grey.the background is a medium grey with a slight red overcast. all in all i am very pleased with this shawl. it's very light, warm and long so i can wrap it at will.if i ever get tired there's enough cloth to make a top from it.

the bonus: as  the diamonds were tightly capped and wrapped, not only did they resit the color, but also the slight felting therefore they are much more open than the rest. nice!
