tending the lichen fermentation, it is showing some hint of purple, but still much yellow. this is a remnant from the knitting ;revisited the concept of waste and wasted yarn.

it's mercerised cotton, but unmordanted and unwashed. just checking the progress of the fermentation.

in theory in 9 months it will have turned purple..9 months of daily stirring folks.

and here's the culprit. have a gig with my geek friend in barcelona and been working on this. he created an algorithm that dithers images as they move in an animated plane .he proposed a collabo and this is the result. it has not been with eventualities .actually i had to order a ribber spanner from italy as the ribber height needs to be adjusted. cant work 150 needles.

sellers from the uk are in general unbelievable .they voted brexit haven't done their homework in order to get the IOSS and collect vat. it's your problem as a buyer, you handle customs and vat.  therefore i avoid buying from sellers which are not registered. it's a comment on business seriousness. talk about island mentality ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.end of rant.

i have stopped all other activities except sumi-e and gardening ,finally this week everything will resume.

deshou! cucumber and green beans. waiting for eggplant plantules to arrive to my local provider.already have little radish plants and lettuce is doing well.

 

fun things about momijis. in my johnny appleseed inner self have been distributing the plantules to some people from sumi-e class who have shown interest.

this year although just two stems, lilies of the valley also look promising. .

connemara

connemara ireland along with gaelic culture and history it's also known for its linen.this was a gift which had been in a long sleep and decided to rescue it and put it to use.it's super fine  but long staple fiber therefore little or no abrasion if sleyed properly.the other warp was driving me crazy with the shedding. non stop sneezing and coughing.

yet another warp . this project is 

an exercise in patience. i can console myself thinking about all i've learnt with the previous warps.

may the third one be the charm.

call to order

lil' susie homemaker spent last week sanding, waxing and putting up shelves.with husband -san's help.

now i have a table to work on. all that gained space and order makes me dizzy. the walking closet also gained some shelves.

the rest of the week was spent trying to fix the web page and cursing. nice little free programs for setting up web pages are being discontinued or are not compliant with the windows updates. will eventually update the page to a newer design, but can't deal with that now.

this year calamodin is looking good.

 last year no flowers hence no fruit. 

cucumbers are being babied until bigger then they'll be planted outside.

already planted toms,radishes and lettuce.let's see bcse we're under a cold spell now.however my gut tells me it's going to be a good year

i've not been able to spam too much this year bcse the flowering has been weird.bcause the weather is weird.it's cold again and windy when everything is all out.

my only  spamming chance is sumi-e. i feel i've gotten better. the old adage is true ,practice makes perfect.i'm not concerned with perfection as much as having fun and fun it is.

new warp ,already sized ready to be beamed and threaded. it might be parked bcse i was approached by a friend for a collabo. he's a geek who developed an algorithm for dithering rotating objects. where do i fit?i'll be knitting an image. let's see if the project comes through.

some bird studies.they lack proportion,but they are expressive so who cares. class is full of rank xerox people who can make exact copies, not here.i just get the feel and go with the flow because i am aware that i am a poor draftsperson.
