immensely enjoying sumi-e. practicing drawing the orchid.terrible attempts need to practice pressure/ flow which basically is the key. also discovered that when trying to copy the models it's a mess., when i let go and go with the flow it's much better. if i get obsessed i won't do anything else. want to keep it ink and paper no color yet. color can draw attention as it's effective,but i want to understand the technique first and then add bells and whistles.
