silk yarns, shoking pink still elusive. however there's still summer to keep on.the colors are not bad, especially that electric orange.
cotton is a no brainer, but it's hard on silk. no wonder dyers in japan devote to just one dye.
i now have the process and am working on my own take.
one needs to adjust to many factors and i am guessing one of the most important is the quality of the dyestuff. ordering next week from netherlands and see how their dyestuff compares. also found out that it's a very slow take up of the dye as it is dyed cold. information found says overnight, but that doesnt cut it.i've left yarns 2-3 days until exhaustion of the dye and still they come out a medium value.
the above are the surrogate cotton fabrics which will be discharged to get red for silk.but again wish i could get those pinks on silk.
