de-learning to drop stitches





it paid off,got the pattern done. much toil and 100% concentration, but satisfactory.
above before blocking.the bottoms of the circles looked weirdly solid.


after blocking.DUH i had to tug and stretch a bit so that the stitches dropped to the end of the pattern.yes, always fighting dropped stitches and this one is just about dropping them.lol.













to prove this was not just beginner's luck i whipped out another sample.
forseeing fun times ahead.

  2. Very intriguing. I like the 3 dimenensional quality of the unblocked pieces. They look like shibori resist. The blocked piece seems to have a more delicate look to it.
