decided to take the plunge because a number of people are hacking these machines giving it a new brain and with it a new life. there's going to be quite a lot of talk in that direction over here !
nevertheless i'm jumping with no security net underneath so let's see how it goes.
it's an ideal situation for when i can no longer weave, as this will serve as a kind of dobby loom.
did you know that you can create thick so called woven fabrics with a knitting machine?
we weavers know that's a wanna be ;)
OMG a brother electronic knitting machine! It's my dream to go to the UK and pick up one of these. With the works. It's totally happening. Meanwhile I'll live vicariously through you. Become an expert so I can bug you for troubleshooting when I get mine ok? XD Just kidding. Mine'll be trouble free. Just like my brother sewing machine XDXD
