been working on designs for the yellow warp although i still have around 1 mt of the ai kakishibu warp to go . taking it slowly because of tension problems. those slubs! i have no problems talking about my weaving issues, yet it seems i'm the only one who experiences them. am i the only village fool?- this is a rethorical question, no need to answer ^_^
so far these two seem to have the numbers.i want a statement skirt for a change. been too subdued for too long. it's a twill for a nice drape, the pattern however won't be that bold, at 24 ends x cm. it shrinks considerably.
the yellows are the cherry bark dyed silk organzine.
i hear spring is knocking at my doors.

spring seems like a fantasy this year...such a difficult winter. nice (potential) skirt!
ReplyDeleteOf course you're not the only one! I'm claiming membership in that elite organization myself!
ReplyDeleteThe new designs are both beautiful. I like the more asymmetrical one best, the one on the right.
--the nature of creating with natural materials are the little glitches and problems that arise. how you handle them is what makes your work individually "you". even the birds are singing here on the Wet coast but eastern Canada is still in the depths of winter.
ReplyDeleteCerto che no, tutti abbiamo problemi con le nostre creazioni. Ma c'è chi lo ammette e chi fa la furba...
