creping 2.0

the samples-before wf

cut and photographed samples. a real royal PITA to photograph. the light was terrible and i was too lazy to take the lights and do the set up. tried assorted weft yarns. let's see how they react.
tieing on to the table loom. very fine organzine silk, usually reed it at 22-25 ends x cm,this time at 16  but tieing two threads x end to compensate. will try and document the whole process as this will be a hand  felt collaboration project  ;-). more of that later.

  1. How exciting. The urge to feel them is overwhelming. Nice way to see face & reverse of each sample (I assume that's what it is). Most dramatic difference is between the merino & the crepe silk?

hard to decide which I like best, they are all interesting. Nice to see samples, something I'm not always good at - I don't tell my students that.
