notes on the blues

left: 3 dips, middle: 5 dips right: 7-8 dips.

the silk skeins started with a cochineal dye, then proceeded into the ai vat.the morale of the story is that if you want a very dark blue start with magenta.
i know, i know that the japanese get this color, but bear in mind that they are masters and that they use sukumo fermentation  vats. a different big league ball game.

gauge swatch, tension 2 in mora yarn 20/2.
have been working on learning the  DAK program and i am verrry slowly seeing the light.i was arrogant enough to think that being proficient with photoshop i could swing this one.
but this one is more like autocad than photoshop and the program architecture is difficult for me.i don't understand the functions very well and i find difficult to access the help. sometimes what you want/need to know is embedded in another help context.😒
anyway ive managed to create a shape file for a  simple sweater, basically 2 squares with sleeves and i'm testing the gauge. not going into interactive knitting yet as it's electronics and i first need to manage the program well. printing the instructions and reading them. stay tuned,
