of hacks

this is my warping station until i go back to japan and get a warping doramu aka drum.

this is the current hack to keep the yarns in order.

i got it in the electronics shop and it's used in those boards full of little holes, whatever their name is.

the guys at the shop are still laughing when i told them what i wanted it for. didn't mention the rubber bands because they suggested soldering. yeah,right.

not to mention the alligator clamps for controlling the draw in in the warp （*▽*）

downloaded the arduino drivers, but installed them without having the board plugged in. DUH!

trash them and redownload. but first back to the shop to get a usb cable.

think i'm going ask to become a shareholder.

newest craze

went inside my k machine ﾟДﾟscary! all seemed fine except for the blown fuse whose change did not alter the fact that the machine still won't turn on.

have posted in all the forums i have access asking for advice. feel like a spammer （´＿｀）

 the other fuses that out of prevention were

 changed. looking into this hack to see if my predicament gets solved.

meanwhile something to lift the spirits.

spent all last week assembling and working on a book for a friend's 50th's.

a lot of work, but fun work.therefore it can be qualified as fun, not work

i was gratified with more fun at his party.
 the book is painted& stamped lutrdur pages with assorted stitching and embelishing, the maps are printed on silk organza.i had a blast making up the toponyms! click on the images to enlarge.

this week i need to get working on the stuff put on hold. great because it's going to be a cold week.

where there's a will

there's exasperation ಠ-ಠ out of sheer will i'm trying to complete this sample and finish the warp.

but it's getting to be a regal pita. and i'm not talking about bread.

maybe i should cut it and get on with life, but on the other hand it's silk and dyed with natural dyes...

there are 2 yardage projects on the back burner. good for stash busting and wardrobe renewal, now that it's nice and cool for weaving.
