salvage

linen sheets from my mother in law's chest of drawers. the blue one's from her mother; sheet, cover sheet and pillow cases of an exquisite linen hand embroidered fabric.

thinking about sewing a cool summer number (much less fitted,ahem)  balenciaga wanna be dress with the blue sheets using the border as a hem motif.  have time ahead. first i need to finish a skirt and the eva jumper.

cold wet days, soup days. comfort food comes in many ways .
my latest obsession soba white miso. dead easy.

 boil 1 cup water
add soba and cook
dissolve 1 tablespoon shiro miso in the water ; stir
add a handful of enoki mushrooms.
turn off the fire immediately if not the enoki will toughen.
serve and enjoy.

the good news is that it's not in the center,but on the right, and relatively close to the end.
the other good news is that there were no broken or twisted threads.＼（*▽*）／
domestic bs permitting i'll start weaving tomorrow. can't wait to use those shuttles!
