now that i found the pots

those dummy momiji seeds better sprout. drying them in a sunny spot. then they need to winter for three months in the fridge .after that they come out and then they're planted. and they frizzle like last year's.

⋋"⋌      i had picked them from the garden in nijo castle in kyoto and  had a soft spot in my heart for them. let's see  how it goes i have tons of them from momijis from the park here.

my practice

last night's  sumi-e class.the above are bamboo culms  suggestions. amazing how one burns paper in that class.

if this keeps up i might as well buy stock in a paper mill.

  

relatively pleased with these. even with the 2 ink splats on the left. as with things japanese this is deceivingly simple. you need to control the pressure, movement, angle and flow.all in one stroke.and there's no erasing or masking it with another paint layer.
