maximizing resources

today is insanely hot, one of the few up north. using solar energy and a hot pavement to heat up the chalk and bran solutions.

when the sun goes down a bit i'll do the dunging.chalk bath to fix bran bath to remove the guar gum thickener . then tomorrow dye printing.need to keep good notes as i am merging techniques. more about that later.

managed to do some printing yesterday.sorry, the light wasn't good and no matter the amount of tweaking,the photos came out blah  m(_ _)m.

the fabric is curing for next step which will be dunging and then printing with dye paste.i am experimenting to see how that works out bcse technically i should immerse dye so that the dye attaches to the printed areas as the printed areas contain mordant.

 then i'll overprint with another color and see how it goes. all the monoprinting is paying off as im not hesitant to mask out parts and fill unprinted areas by dabbing mordant paste with my finger.

another thing will be if my cell phone  can still recognize my fingerprint.  ¯\ ( ツ ) /¯
