persistence, is it a virtue?

or is it stupidly dumb? i persist in knitting a decent wearable sweater with no luck when i should concentrate in artsy-fartsy knits that are no problem for me. plus i have tons of knittable images and good colorful cottons. yet i persist.

monoprints. they have become receptacles for frustration. they are fun and make me feel adequate and productive. i give importance to discussing these facts bcse on line lives look as if no one ever faced neither failure nor deception. and as we know  perfection in life is simply bs. it does not exist. for one fleeting perfect moment one has to endure a life  of imperfection.

gorgeous crinkle silk from the barcelona time frame. a now defunct, as many other, fabric store which carried remnants of high end fabrics from italy. an opportunity to source gorgeousness for next to nothing.those were the days. the pattern is another simple japanese one. i understand front, back,cut. the rest google translate on mobile. one has to live dangerously.   (￣ω￣ )

ok, but do not tell me it's not a handsome color.when dry it will be a tad lighter but nothing serious.

this silk yarn is part of a warp, a simple  number just to highlight the color of the yarn.

the remaining color, still enough,  in the bath, is going to be turned into a lake pigment.need to check the process bcse it will be a first timer for me.
