public toilets like you've never seen

the tokyo toilet tour.errm  there's an official one  which takes you to see the toilets of the tokyo  toilet project. all designed by top architects, the project creates a balance between form and functiuon.
armed with the map published by the official page and google maps it's an independent doable if you like me has a strong dislike for organized tours.

it's also a great opportunity to discover areas of the city since they are mostly grouped around shinjuku and shibuya wards, but in neighborhoods tourist are most likely to ignore.

this one and it's partner in a nearby park are in yoyogi area.here i found myself in a sureal situation; a park full of japanese kids speaking english among themselves. later i found out that an international school is nearby.
the partner toilet designed in cool colors gained world fame as it was featured in the movie perfect days.

i think this was my favorite.as you come out of the ebisu station, a floating white cube made with louvers.

the graphics in all of them are excellent.

this is from the project page. at night it's spectacular

this was also spectacular.

i couldn't visit all of them due to time constraints, but it was a  chance to see  good architecture unlike  the buildings, at  close up mode.
