the i won't give up sweater

third time. a shape from pamela cruise . she makes it look easy, but it keeps giving me headaches.

gauge sample exact measurements etc, etc. and from the blocking i can tell it's not going to fit well.

the good news is that the pieces were dyed in  a cold walnut bath for 2 days and then the color was shifted a bit in a weak iron bath.nice fawn brown in person.

now i'm taking measurements from a japanese sewing pattern and uploading them to DAK. it should work , but one never knows.i can work abstract pictorials in double bed jacquard almost blindfold. but sweaters...they require some kind of obscure skill that i seem not to posses.

a disappearing act

now you see it now you don't. really got carried away and i forgot to take process photos.

the end product. i'm satisfied bcse the gold stamping gives it a subtle  inner glow.

color reports are not good

in japan. unseasonably hot, the hottest september in decades has delayed the colors. i might not catch a glimpse of them  so i'll have to content myself with my own.this year, such a strange year, they are early. after being cold for some weeks it's back in the 20's again.

plants are going berserk. eggplant  is finally flowering like crazy and there are two coming out.

camellia buds are bigger than usual for the time.and yet there are  people still on denial.  ¯\ ( ツ ) /¯
