odd but not bad.

 waru kunai. after 2 dips it came out this cornflower blue color, more of a faded jean number.it's not unpleasant so instead of correcting it i'm going to leave it as is.

the vat is doing well but i am going to dye 3 more skeins and call it a session.need to rethread the loom again, no excuses i have the weft yarns  already dyed.thought i could swing it as it is threaded but fearing unneeded issues it's better to re thread. ¯\ ( ツ ) /¯

the colors of japan

finally  got around to this. had wanted to stamp with bengara for some time now. the purists are going to chase me out of the country, but i don't really care.

the bengara was dissolved to a paste in alcohol, then GAC 900 was added and finally guar gum as a thickener. you need sa binder bcse bengara is a pigment.traditionally the japanese use soy milk to bind and then steam the cloth. the result is the same  so this shortcut works for me. even if i am going to make wearables, which is not forseen in the near future, i'll stick to old faithful GAC.

we did the little dance of miracolo a milanoon sunday.for the fist time in 2 weeks there were moments of sun.no snow though.
