the warp

starting the work on the warp.12/2 cotton at 8 threads x cm, around 30 cms wide.

i am going to balance loom work and kami ito work to see if i can speed up a bit. and to keep feeding my poor concetration   ( ¨¨ ω¨¨ )    

this is mercerised cotton with two skeins in a ghastly bluish tint to make them look whiter.still washing to see if i can get rid of some of it. reminds me of people who treat their knitting machines to make them whiter. ¯\ ( ツ ) /¯  as if beige were a sin.

auditing backgrounds

rolling the paper prior to spinning  gives it pliability.it also  rolls it into a, preliminary thread.the gurus use cement blocks to roll the paper,but i am avoiding looking around for cement blocks and carrying them home as previously stated.the hack worked relatively well as long as the paper wasn't too big 

have been scoouting arond the studio to see what's available and usable. old towel; works so so especially when the paper's dry.

a dollied up crate ,dollied up because it was 

used to display my comb collection mind you.

the surface is somewhat rough,the size 

permits some movement liberties.

the best so far is a combination of the ccane chair seat and the crate. since this is slowly shaping as a long term project i'm going to find the perfect surface.
