half drop hatch. we were instructed to "dye" fabric with turmeric, something that if you've been dyeing for more than 3 months you already know that it's not worth the effort as it is extremely fugitive.i refused passively and was able to swing it saying that i had some quarters already dyed with various dyes lying around that could be given some use.

the leader doesn't particularly favor fluo colors and wasn't thrilled with the off register aqua/fluo orange combo,she just smirked.

 but when i tuned it with some

 interference paint and printing some 

scatters  that crossed a line.

my take

on intarsia.i am knitting the needles instead of how it is supposed to be done.this is actually because the other yarn is fishline and i can knit a pass on the white yarn without it being shown. this is very slow knitting bcse there are transfers involved  and 2 different yarns one of them problematic.

slow knitting has given me mental time to quiet down and think.have come to the conclusion that my

issues with the workshop and its leader come from the fact that i've been working in my studio on my own for a very long time. if what is being done is not new to me i take off on my own, if it's new and by  someone who i recognize as knowledgeable i sit, listen and learn.

there are many on line resources and tribillion books to have to deal with iffy knowledge.
