future sewing

my favorite fabric store in helsinki is a small venue but with interesting unusual fabrics.
proof of concept , the above agorgeous textured wool with cotton backing so that it's not scratchy.

a japanese cotton with some faint seersucker texture.

i'll start pattern hunting. as if i didn't have pending sewing projects.

it was the charm

i became obsessed with this project,talk about going outside the comfort zone.was learning to work with mohair-25 gr. of rowan kidsilk lace that i got on sale; also learning about racking technique and figuring out  something that i saw on line.

persevere and you'll prevail.

chuffed about the outcome.

now i can start planning the portugal entry. have all xmas holidays to work on it w/out distractions.

SIGH

and people say machine knitting is cheating.halfway and the yarn jumps out of the carriage= pass w/out yarn and  the dreadful thump. all ends on the floor. (╯︵╰,)
now on to unraveling which with mohair is a royal PITA.
the good news is that the decorations are already up, the cakes made and it's distribution is starting.
only need to sit down and make the animation for the xmas card and blog.
