punchies

lace punch card #17. it works without any problem with this cotton yarn. theoretically cotton should be avoided due to the lack of give. happy to have found the opposite as i have two 4 kg cones.it's single so not adequate for warps.

primed with a white primer, not too happy with the way it acts with the metallic paint , turning it sort of muddy and killing the sparkle.
the patina is nothing to write home about also.
waiting to see if it re conducts itself if i leave it out in the open.the copper pipe on the terrace looks lovely.

concept

been working with my new best friend, the lace carriage.knitting lace is at the least, tricky.one  is never sure how much weight is too much.one also needs to learn how to read the lace punchcard correctly; if concentration fails, one can lose track and run the carriage in the wrong direction.this is very very bad 😏and can cause havoc.
if all is in sync it's joy seeing how those little holes form and multiply.
two samples: on the left cotton yarn painted with acrylics, on the right copper wire aged with patina.
see where i'm going?
