oh elation,oh rapture!

cut, cut, cut. all tenses at last. no wonder people work with cottolin warps.
managed enough cloth for a number of projects. now it's a matter of fun and games before i start warping again.

spring is here and all the apple trees are in bloom. white clouds on the fields.

changing numbers

and  adding to the vertigo i'm auditing silk yarns for the new weaving. the lilac is the foundation warp, the others accents.
the blue one in the forefront is actually teal, the yellow a lime green. still debating whether the light salmon or the more terracotta one on the right.
these yarns were sized with agar agar which i am still in awe of how well it works.the linen sizing is too complicated to work .but the lesson learned is that each weaving culture uses what it has at hand; the japanese all kinds of seaweeds, the northern europeans flax seeds, africans casava roots. any ideas on mesoamerica? please inform.

the weaving plan is(was?) to use the threading treadling of the failed linen warp because it holds promises. but somewhere along the way it occurred to me that i could print large motifs on the warp.
we shall see; stand by.
and after i type this i am booging out of the flat for a birthday lunch.\(^▽^)/
