of adverbs and other minutiae

my lemon grass wintering inside. we've had over a week of frosts and now the temperatures are as someone would say very,very down.

knitted wool for a cut and sew sleeveless pull.even knitting yardage is not extent of woes and hair tearing.

don't know if i'll eventually graduate to fully fashioned (shaped) sweaters.

the pattern. at least i can practice my pattern drafting skills.

i need to machine  stitch 2 rows following the outline, put some iron on facing and then cut in between the lines.

we'll see if hopefully the hand doesn't tremble. 

rant alert: is blogger trying to kill blogland? is it a google plan to take over and rule? can't comment on neither typepad nor wordpress blogs and i am assuming it also works the other way around.💩💩💩

the treatment

came back from the walk relatively shot,sat down for a long break and took this lampas sample that had been subject to various treatments.
i dislike having samples floating around with no use;at least this could be put up on a wall. the image was digitally manipulated and printed on silk organza .before attaching it to the background i gave it a unifying wash of acrylic paint.
 final treatment (?) is stitching. it was woven incorporating gold thread so i used it again to stitch around the right hand  side of the image so as to integrate it to the background.maybe i should add more blue fly stitches at the bottom.
the colors are much more vivid in rel life.

at war with a knitted collar

 sewing the top, piece of cake.knitting the collar was easy. adjusting it to the top's neckline might take the rest of the week. follow the saga because i will persevere and prevail.
