2 months and 6 meters later

it's all finished. from designing, testing color dummies, making the warp chains, painting them, batching,  rinsing, threading and weaving.
one of the reasons i love blogging is that i can keep a record about my work and my progress as a craftsperson. or the lack of it.

true that i took a break in between to be with house guests, but not counting that in the tally.
i am very pleased with the outcome. now wet finish iron and some rest while i decide which pattern to use.luckily i have a choice and this time won't run short on fabric. on the contrary, think i'll even could swing a full set of underwear (^∇^)

selective

dyeing while i continue to centimeter away at the loom.folded and clamped silk crepe, left soaking  in a concentrated murasaki liquid  in a shallow container.it came out the color of a good claret wine.this one does not need an extra dip as the color value is just right. now it needs to be re folded and clamped again and dyed with the carrot top dye. as soon as i finish the yardage i have tons of sewing waiting and this silk crepe is  queueing.
note my kusamono on the right *▽*
