i add visual layers and repurpose all those tension swatches?
this is a start, embroidery doesn't work unless a very heavy yarn is used. sort of an overkill i think.

the algorithm
all that can go wrong when knitting (and then some more)

| upper tension masts, yarn can disengage or get tangled |
 |
| tension and main carriage setting |
 |
| ribber settings and tension |
 |
| yarn does not feed properly( causing a dreaded free pass precipitating knitting to the floor) |
 |
| yarn gets caught in gate pegs- knitting bunches up |
 |
| forget to change colors |
but when it all works properly together it is exhilarating!
