aaand it's blue!

silkwefts

insourcing my available  natural dyed silks. blues
are ai of course, the mauves are murasaki yellows come from pomegranate and the yellow green is carrot tops. the rasperry is brazilwood. yellows and yellow green were too yellow for the warp and the lighter murasaki didn't do anything for the warp.
the darker one would have been a dream, but i was afraid not to have enough for the warp.it all boiled down to the rasperry brazilwood dyed silk and the blues. the red didn't quite cut it either maybe too warm?

how can i resist blue?

warp-3
so  it's lift off here and we have blue.what i really like is that it's a verigated blue and will add a lot of interest to the cloth.

and the third time seems to be the charm

all set

threaded! will spend the day honoring may day working on it.
i'll be auditioning color wefts  too.

my take

here's a new treadling that may or not make the final cloth.
has to be subtle because it will be a top. this is the other option remember? which one then?

happy may day to all!
