I then diluted the dye with water and used it to dye silk. Maybe I just got lucky, though ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17256618.post-4190890013525697792014-05-21T12:21:38.773+02:002014-05-21T12:21:38.773+02:00i left a comment, but it looks like it disappeared...i left a comment, but it looks like it disappeared, if it didn't good, if it did, i was mostly wondering about liles' book.Velma Bolyardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12446502295849533888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17256618.post-84970651306935298042014-05-20T20:13:41.091+02:002014-05-20T20:13:41.091+02:00I usually add some cochineal to get better red, ha...I usually add some cochineal to get better red, haven't tried with higher pH but that's something I should experiment though it is not so good for wool.Leenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14266878515009058403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17256618.post-15702242179914605662014-05-20T17:49:28.663+02:002014-05-20T17:49:28.663+02:00I too have trouble getting true red from madder! Love it.Louisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11685532773952211627noreply@blogger.com
