sunrise,time alone, the smell of laundry dried in the wind, a nine patch, fray, fade, the sound of a needle passing through cloth, the ocean, picking fresh greens. to name a few
My granddaughter...time in the playroom...the thought of a steamy shower (we don't have a hot water heater)...blooming flowers of any description...the sound of my son's voice.
a brand new day, a finished project, a new knitting pattern, laughter, an inspiration...and oh so many more things.
All of the above, plus maybe a lap being warmed by a cat, and 5 inches of rain after 2 dry months!
A basket of fiber to spin, ginger tea, sesame shortbread, Skyping with my daughter abroad, daffodils, walking in wet sand, taking a handwoven item out of the wash and seeing what it has become.
a child's hand in mine, quiet time with a treasured friend, fresh home baked bread, a well made book - the paper,print,stitching, the texture of handwoven cloth, and a surprise "find" at the junk store, a son's "hi Mom".
